Refunds & Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Ballarat Shelving. This policy explains when you can return items, make a warranty claim, or request a refund. Your consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by this policy.

Change of mind

We do not usually accept returns for change of mind once a product has been assembled or used. If the product is unused, in original packaging and in re-saleable condition you may request a return within 14 days of delivery. Returns for change of mind are at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee and return shipping costs.

Faulty or damaged goods

If your item arrives damaged, is faulty or not as described you must contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We will assess the claim and, if accepted, offer a replacement, repair or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. We will cover return shipping for faulty items.

Warranty

Products sold by Ballarat Shelving include a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, provided the product has been assembled and used according to our instructions. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper assembly, misuse, cosmetic wear & tear, or overloading beyond stated capacities. For warranty claims, please email sales@ballaratshelving.com.au with proof of purchase, photos and a description of the issue.

How to return an item

  1. Contact us at sales@ballaratshelving.com.au with your order number, reason for return and photos (if applicable).
  2. If a return is approved we will provide instructions for return shipping or organise a pickup where feasible.
  3. We will inspect the returned item and notify you of the outcome. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of acceptance.

Exceptions

Custom, special order, clearance or heavily discounted items may be excluded from change-of-mind returns. Please check the product listing for any specific return exclusions.
